Over several years in the 1990's to 2000's, the local community met for a Christmas/New Year meal. The group included Deaf professionals and sign language interpreters. This particular year was set at the Pagoda Restaurant on the Brighton Marina; the restaurant is situated on the water and the boat is in the shape of a Pagoda.
